A Little Bit About Me
I'm focused on Islam, so faith, family and giving back to the community are important to me. I come from a large, loving Muslim family. I'm open to new experiences and love the chance to travel and try new foods. I enjoy cooking (I'm told I make a mean lasagna), couponing -don't ask : ) , listening to Islamic lectures and anasheed and spending time with friends and family. Laughter and a positive attitude are key. Besides just staying on my deen I'd like to learn and grow in it, insha'Allah with my future husband. On the community side, I volunteer for an organization that distributes food and supplies to needy people in my area. To stay fit, I walk and do low impact cardio. I'm more Khloe than Kim or Mia than Liv at this point, but I'm working on it. I teach Math and Science at an Islamic school and I am studying for a degree in Business Administration. I love kids and look forward to starting my own family, insha'Allah.

About halal food - I always strive to eat halal food, but zabihah meat isn't always available where I live.

What I Am Looking For
Good character is really important. Someone who is mature, intelligent, down to earth, hardworking in pursuit of his goals, but also willing to balance work and home life. I'd like him to be serious about marriage - about making that monogamous commitment and putting in the effort to make our marriage successful. Someone who likes kids, is fit or striving to be, has a sense of humor, isn't too slow to smile and will hold my hand. Insha'Alllah I can meet someone who also wants to go beyond the basics and continue to learn and grow in Islam.

Re beard - I put "Beard: Yes" but it isn't critical for me the way not making salat regularly would be.
